Meet Jackson
A second-generation Canadian, Jackson Ho was born in Montreal and moved to Toronto at the age of 11. Raised by a Vietnamese father and a Chinese mother, Jackson understands the values of hard work, family, and community that have shaped Scarborough's diverse neighborhoods.

Through work, daily commuting, and time spent with family and friends, Jackson has developed a deep connection to Scarborough–Agincourt. He appreciates the community's cultural diversity, local businesses, restaurants, parks, and the entrepreneurial spirit that makes the area unique.
​
For too long, many residents have felt that Scarborough has not received its fair share of attention and investment compared to downtown core.
​
Jackson believes that Scarborough–Agincourt deserves stronger advocacy, better infrastructure, improved transit, safer streets, and a greater voice at City Hall.
​
That is why Jackson is running for City Councillor for Ward 22, Scarborough–Agincourt.

He is committed to being a strong voice for residents—someone who will listen, advocate, and deliver results. As a young and energetic candidate, Jackson brings a fresh perspective, ambitious ideas, and a forward-thinking approach to tackling today's challenges. He believes that innovative solutions, responsible leadership, and meaningful community engagement are essential to building a stronger future for Scarborough–Agincourt.

Jackson Ho: Experience, Perspective, and Action
Before pursuing his post-secondary education, Jackson Ho founded his own media production company, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to building something from the ground up. After graduation, he joined TFO in Toronto, where he has developed a diverse skill set across television production and media operations.

Throughout his career, Jackson has served in a wide range of roles, including Director of Photography, Studio Camera Operator, Television Director, Steadicam Operator, Television Editor, Certified Drone Operator, Jib Operator, Gaffer, Grip, Media Asset Technician, and even Set Builder. His versatility and hands-on approach have earned him a reputation as a dedicated professional who understands the value of hard work, teamwork, and adaptability.

As a camera operator and media professional, Jackson has had the opportunity to work alongside many prominent public figures, including former Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin, former Toronto Mayor John Tory, Caroline Mulroney, former Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, and former Nigerien Prime Minister Brigi Rafini, among many others.

Working behind the camera has given Jackson a unique perspective on the challenges facing communities across Canada and around the world. He has witnessed firsthand the successes, struggles, and everyday concerns of residents from all walks of life. These experiences have strengthened his belief that governments must be more accountable, transparent, and responsible with taxpayers' money.
​
As City Councillor, Jackson is committed to being accessible and engaged with residents. He plans to host regular community town halls, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations, new ideas, and direct feedback from the people he represents. His goal is simple: ensure every resident has a voice and feels heard.
​
Outside of his professional career, Jackson is known for his adventurous and hands-on approach to life. He is an avid runner, cyclist, swimmer, golfer, and outdoor enthusiast who believes in constantly learning new skills and embracing new challenges. From restoring and living aboard a yacht to riding the Trans-America Trail on a motorcycle, Jackson is no stranger to determination and perseverance.

Whether building, repairing, creating, or exploring, Jackson brings the same problem-solving mindset to every challenge. It is this practical, solutions-focused approach that he hopes to bring to City Hall—working hard, listening to residents, and delivering results for Scarborough–Agincourt.
